Shirley (Morgan) Lewno, daughter of Bascum and Ollie (Finley) Morgan, was born January 30, 1946 in Wilcoe, West Virginia. She was united in marriage to Duane Lewno, Sr. on December 23, 1964. Shirley and Duane resided in South Carolina, Alabama, Washington, Minnesota and West Virginia before settling in South Dakota in 1994. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Doughtery Hospice House in Sioux Falls at the age of 69 years. She was a devoted wife, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved God and her family deeply. She enjoyed camping, going to church and working with the ladies groups at church. Shirley will be greatly missed by those who loved her. Shirley is survived by her husband of 50 years Duane Lewno, Sr.; two daughters-in-law, Frances Lewno and Theresa Lewno; two grandchildren, Shawn (Brittany) Lewno and Tabitha (Drew) Bock; three great grandchildren, Ryley Bock, Novaleigh Bock and Kinzley Bock; four sisters, Marie Hubinak, Lucille (Cruz) Soto, Mary (Randall) Brickey and Dorothy (Justin) Brickey; three brothers, David (Virginia) Morgan, Jack (Nancy) Morgan and Elmer (Sharon ) Morgan; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Alex Lewno and Duane Lewno, Jr.; one sister Rosie Harmon and one brother Leslie Morgan. Shirley's funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Geise Funeral Chapel in Castlewood with Rev. Cliff Sheldon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday.
