Sibyl Arlene Sager, age 98 of rural Estelline passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the home of Arlene and Ron Freesemann where she had resided for the last three years.

She was born to Laura and Henry Fulton on August 30, 1911 at their home in Pierce County, Nebraska. The family moved to a farm near Upton, Wyoming when she was a year old and this is where she received her formal education. She then went to work in Pine Ridge, South Dakota and that is where she met her husband Clifford Sager. After their marriage on June 17, 1936, she kept busy being a homemaker and raising their eight children on a ranch north of Rushville, Nebraska. Sibyl and Clifford responded to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1939 and together brought up their family in the reverence and respect of Gods Word.

In 1965 they moved to Rushville where they owned and operated the Coast to Coast store until they retired in 1969. After Cliffords death in 1978, Sibyl continued to make Rushville her home until moving to the Estelline area. She kept very active visiting family and friends besides volunteering as a Grandma Reader at school and a hostess at the local museum. She sewed dolls to give away and maintained a flower garden while babysitting, taking in ironing and helping care for the elderly needing assistance living in their own home.

She is survived by three of her children, Vernon Sager and his wife Carol of Porcupine, SD, Arlene Freesemann and her husband Ron of Castlewood, SD, Francis Sager and his wife Mary of Edmond, OK; a sister-in-law Jo Fulton of Upton, WY; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Sibyl was preceded in death by her husband Clifford; three daughters, Shirley, Elinor and her husband Lee and Ruth; two sons, LeRoy and Wilbur; one granddaughter Gayle; two grandsons, Clinton and Ernie; and two sisters and three brothers.
