Stanley Rudolph Lee, son of Rudolph and Selma (Olson) Lee, was born March 2, 1919 near Lake Norden, South Dakota. He grew up and received his education in rural school. Following his education he worked for area farmers before starting his own farming operation. After his marriage to Marjorie Schultz in Watertown, South Dakota on June 6, 1955 they farmed and raised cattle east of Lake Norden. They moved into Lake Norden in 1986 and retired in 1990. Stanley died on Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Beverly Healthcare Center in Lake Norden at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 1 day. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Bryant, South Dakota and served on the Lake Norden Farmers Elevator Board for 12 years. He also enjoyed playing golf. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Marge of Lake Norden; one son Jim Lee of Lake Norden; one daughter Linda Querry and her husband Gary of Red Oak, IA; three grandchildren, Travis, Lisa and Brett Querry; three sisters, Myrtle Arnold of Sioux Falls, Lorraine Volheim of Watertown, SD, Dorothy Gimpel of Rosemont, MN; two sister-in-law, Bernice Lee of Lake Norden, Eunice Schultz of Watertown; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Wallace, Raymond, Clyde, Howard and Robert; and one sister Ruth Woods.
