Obituary

Terrance Reul Gasner, son of Henry and Erma (Reul) Gasner, was born January 9, 1934 at Owatonna, Minnesota. He grew up and received his education in that area and graduated from Claremont High School. Terrance began farming with his family and was united in marriage to Ileta "Dolly" Peterson on August 9, 1953 at the Presbyterian Church in Claremont, Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Army from December of 1956 to September of 1958 and after his discharge they continued to farm near Claremont. They also farmed near Pine Island and Hancock, Minnesota before moving to a farm near Castlewood in 1981. In recent years they have enjoyed wintering in various southern states. Terrance died on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Watertown at the age of 80 years. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Castlewood and loved to spend time fixing and invent things. While in Arizona he enjoyed Sand Railing. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Dolly of Castlewood; one son Scott and his wife Solvei of Castlewood; two grandchildren, Clayton and Marissa; one brother Boyd and his wife Kathy of Eyota, MN; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Terrance was preceded in death by his daughter Virginia, his parents and one sister Delores Mickey. His funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the American Lutheran Church in Castlewood. Visitation will be from 5PM to 8PM Tuesday at Geise Funeral Chapel in Castlewood. Burial will be in the Castlewood Cemetery.
