He grew up in the Bryant-Lake Norden area, received his education there and graduated from Hamlin High School in 1991. While in high school he started farming with his father and brother. He was united in marriage to Anita Marie Nylund on March 14, 1992, in Brush Prairie, Washington. Following their marriage they continued to farm near Bryant. He died on Friday, June 6, 2008, at his residence at the age of 35 years as a result of a massive heart attack. He was a life long member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. He enjoyed farming and was a loving husband and father. His family and children where the joy of his life. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Anita of Bryant; their children, Trenton, Ashley, Stacy, Levi, Carson, Layton, Basil and Tommy; his parents, Terry and Cheryl Hilliard of Bryant; his mother and father-in-law, Paul and Terry Nylund of Bryant; a grandmother, Wilma Kaski of Kalispell, WY; one brother, Jesse (Misti) Hilliard of Bryant; five sisters, Leah (Stuart) Houg, Karen (John) Kopman, both of Bryant, Roxanne (Ryan) Sarkinen of Buffalo, MN, Stephany (Leonard) Kopman of Bryant, Katy (John) Muonio of Waverly, MN; and a host of other relatives and friends.
