Veronica H. (Keimig) Linneman, daughter of Frank and Anna (Mirr) Keimig, was born October 11, 1925 at Gary, South Dakota. She attended school in Gary until moving to Estelline in 1939, where she completed her education. Veronica was united in marriage to Alphonse Linneman on September 18, 1956. They farmed in Hamlin County for many years. Alphonse died on March 30, 1983 and she continued to make her home on the farm. Veronica served as a caregiver for many elderly people in the Estelline area. She died on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Brookings Hospital at the age of 88 years. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was also a member of the Altar Society. She was a wonderful mother and cook. Grateful for having shared her life are one step-daughter Marlena Bauer of Beresford, SD; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; one sister Jolenta Hinsvark of Woodburn, OR; two brothers, Maynard Keimig and his wife Elizabeth of Brookings, SD, Francis Keimig of Estelline; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Alphonse; one step-daughter LaVonne Ness; her parents; seven sisters and four brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Estelline. Visitation will be from at the church from 4PM to 7PM on Tuesday followed by a Scripture Service.
