Wayne Everett TeKrony, 64, of Castlewood, SD, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019. Funeral Services have been set for 10:30am Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Hamlin Reformed Church, 18597 464 ^th Ave. Castlewood, SD.  Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Hamlin Reformed Church, Castlewood, SD.  Geise Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Wayne Everett TeKrony, the son of Everett & Cornelia "Corky" (Van Beek) TeKrony, was born March 3, 1955, in Clear Lake, SD. He attended Castlewood School and graduated in 1973.  On August 22, 1975, Wayne married his high school sweetheart, Gwen Aronson, and they were blessed with four children.  At a young age, he developed a love for farming, which continued to be his full-time occupation.  Wayne farmed with his Dad until 2005 and continued on the heritage of a father/son duo, working side by side on the dairy farm with his son Jeff, and later adding son-in-law Jared. Daily coffee time at 9:30 with the guys and family was a favorite time of the day for him, as well as times when neighbors, family and friends stopped by to visit with him.  Wayne passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Wayne loved the Lord and sought to serve Him his entire life. Whatever he did he wanted it to be done for the honor and glory of Jesus. Music was a special part of his life which he passed onto his children and grandchildren.  He enjoyed being part of the church choir, Christmas caroling, hymn sings and singing the old beloved hymns, which brought him much comfort, joy and peace.

He served on the Church Council and was a Sunday School teacher at the Bemis Christian Reformed Church until it closed in 2004, and now was a member of the Hamlin Reformed Church where he served as an Elder. He was currently a director on the H-D Electric Board, and also served on the Estelline COOP and Opdahl Boards.

Wayne is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Gwen; his four children and ten grandchildren, Jeff (Kimberly) TeKrony (Abby, Aubrey, Katelyn, Jonathan, Everett) of Castlewood; Angela (Todd) Moritz (Matthew, Emily) of Clear Lake, SD; Amanda TeKrony of Sioux Falls, SD; April (Jared) Brouwer (Noah, Micah, Jonah) of Castlewood; his sisters, Brenda (Bob) Mast of Wyoming, MI and Lois (Rod) VanDerVliet of Colton, SD; and brother-in-law, Lee Bleeker of Prinsburg, MN;  his in-laws Karen Lund; Bev (Doug) Kruiter; Neda (Rick) Ries; Dawn (Jeff) Sikkink all of Castlewood; and Jim (Linda) Aronson of Darby, MT; many nephews and nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, his in-laws Idor & Della Aronson; his sister, Sharon Bleeker; and brother-in-law, Dennis Lund.
