Wilma Stroschein Maple Grove, Minnesota (Formerly of Estelline) Wilma E. (Billet) Stroschein, daughter of Victor and Elizabeth (Nilges) Billet, was born December 28, 1920 in Brookings County, South Dakota. She received her education in a rural school in Brookings County. Wilma was united in marriage to Walter Stroschein on September 25, 1951 in Pipestone, Minnesota. The couple farmed for 13 years in Hidewood Township, Deuel County, South Dakota. In 1964 they moved into Estelline where she was employed at Zafft's Jack and Jill for 22 years and was also the bookkeeper for the Estelline Apartments for 17 years. She retired in 1986 and Walter died on August 9, 1996. Wilma passed away at the age of 94 years on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Rose Arbor Wildflower Lodge in Maple Grove, Minnesota. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Estelline and was active in the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed dancing, gardening and especially spending time with family and her many friends. Wilma is survived by her son Joe Fournier and his wife Patricia of Maple Grove, MN; her grandchildren, Douglas Hoffelt, Michael Hoffelt, Elizabeth Trammel, Christine Durbin and Timothy Fournier; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter; her parents, Victor and Elizabeth Billet; her daughter Nancy Parker; two brothers, Delbert and Sylvester Billet; and two sisters, Delphine Brink and Ann Tjaden. Her funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Friday, September 25, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Estelline. Visitation with the family present will be one hour preceding services at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Estelline.
