Renae L. Jager ,64, of Lake Norden, SD passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Norden, SD. A Visitation will be held the night prior from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Renae Lee Olson Jager was born July 18, 1958 in Volga, SD to Eugene and Gloria Olson.  She attended school in Arlington and graduated in 1976.  Her true love of nursing began as she worked at the Arlington Nursing Home in Arlington.  She attended Lake Area VoTech and received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  In May 1986, she was united in marriage to Brian Jager in which two children, Brittany and Brady, were born.  Her entire professional career revolved on the personal care for each and every one of her patients, whom she loved with her whole heart.  She received the Sanford Clinic Employee of the Year award in 2007.  She retired in 2022 to spend more time with her new found love of grandchildren!  She loved taking in the activities of her three special nephews, Raygen, Carter, and Parker and was their number one cheerleader!  She was active in church, card club, ambulance, and city council.  She had a love for travel and arts and crafts!  Renae loved and gave unconditionally to all that crossed her path.  Our hearts are forever broken because we loved her so much!  Her love for the Minnesota Vikings, Christmas and western movies were as strong as her hate for peas, beans and raisins!

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Brian; children Brittany (Gerald) Larson of Hayti and Brady (Ciara) Jager of Lake Norden; her grandchildren Laura, Alyce, Carolyn and Otis Larson, Jaden and Maddie Bos, Dawson, Preston and Denali Jager; her mother, Gloria Olson, brothers Brad (Carol) Olson and Bryce (Tammy) Olson of Arlington and sister, Robyn (Tom) Randall of Salem; sister-in-laws, Lynn, Jill and Candy; brother-in-law, Jeff; a host of nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Molly.

She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene; her mother and father-in-law, Unice and Odell Jager; a very special uncle, Lee Larsen; grandchild, Chandler Jager and brother-in-law, Tim.
